Playing the violin is not always easy, but it brings me great joy. I began my studies at the age of four and trained for 22 years until I completed a doctoral degree in Violin Performance at the University of Michigan. I studied with master teachers Sally O'Reilly, Paul Kantor, and Camilla Wicks. For nearly two decades I have performed internationally as a solo artist, I have recorded in the studio with Grammy-award winning musicians, and I have performed with esteemed orchestras in such venues as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. I have also taught at universities and served on student audition selection committees and hiring teams for professors. I know the thrill being onstage, but I am most grateful for the personal transformation that takes place when I set my sights on a goal and successfully achieve it. The process of becoming an artist is immensely rewarding in ways I hope every violinist can experience. This is what IVAS is all about!
