I have spoken with presenters, educators, and conductors across the country, and I realize how difficult it can be to build diverse audiences and programming in classical music. As a performing and recording artist of color with nearly twenty years of experience in the music business, I have a unique vantage point. I understand the inner workings of the classical music industry but I am also deeply connected to communities of color. I understand the challenges on both sides and want to find solutions for bringing them closer together. With the right help, organizations can break barriers and build bridges with their communities. As a consultant, my approach is to listen, support, and provide suggestions without judgement. Diversity can be a sensitive matter, but we can work on it together! I assist with general inquiries, strategic planning, review of marketing materials, educational initiatives, strategies for connecting with artists or communities of color, and more!
